Day 1: Thursday, November 7, 2024 – Home to Whitehorse
Embark on a journey to Whitehorse this afternoon, arriving in the vibrant capital of Yukon. Upon our evening arrival, a seamless transfer will whisk us away to our downtown hotel.
Day 2: Friday, November 8, 2024 – Whitehorse
Our exploration of Whitehorse begins with a local guide leading us on a tour of its historic landmarks. We'll visit the iconic train depot of the White Pass & Yukon Railway, marvel at the log skyscraper and church, and learn about the sternwheeler SS Klondike and fish ladder. Later, we'll immerse ourselves in the rich history of the area as we discover captivating stories at the MacBride Museum, home to relics and photographs from the gold-rush era. In the evening, join your Tour Director and fellow travelers for a Yukon-inspired welcome dinner. Afterward, we'll head to the Northern Lights Viewing Facility, nestled in a cozy cabin away from the city lights. With an expert host and complimentary hot drinks and snacks, we'll settle in for the optimal viewing experience. Typically, the best sightings occur between 10 PM and midnight, offering the perfect opportunity to witness the awe-inspiring display of the aurora borealis. Let's hope Mother Nature treats us to a spectacular show tonight!

Day 3: Saturday, November 9, 2024 – Whitehorse
Begin the day by unwinding in the rejuvenating waters of Eclipse Nordic Hot Springs, where temperatures soar up to 42°C. Later, delve into the fascinating world of Yukon's wildlife at the Yukon Wildlife Preserve. Spanning 350 acres, this unique facility offers a glimpse into the natural habitats of 12 major species of northern mammals, including moose, muskox, and mountain goat. In the evening, gather for dinner at a popular local restaurant before heading out for our second evening of enchanting Northern Lights viewing.

Day 4: Sunday November 10, 2024 – Whitehorse
Today offers a leisurely opportunity to explore the charms of Whitehorse at your own pace. As the evening approaches, we eagerly anticipate our return to the Northern Lights Viewing Facility for our last chance to witness the mesmerizing aurora borealis dance across the night sky. It's a fitting conclusion to our Yukon adventure as we bid farewell to the breathtaking beauty of the northern lights.

Day 5: Monday, November 11, 2024 – Whitehorse
Enjoy a leisurely morning of rest. In the afternoon, we venture to the renowned Beringia Centre, where the intriguing narrative unfolds of native peoples and ancient animals inhabiting the prehistoric expanse known as the Bering Land Bridge, bridging Alaska and Siberia. Later, immerse yourself in the captivating history of Yukon's transportation at the Yukon Museum of Transportation. Delve into tales of bush pilots, riverboat captains, Klondike stampeders, and the builders of the Alaska Highway. Cap off the day with a farewell dinner at a popular local restaurant.

Day 6: Tuesday November 12, 2024 – Whitehorse to Home
This morning, we transfer to Whitehorse Airport for our return flights. Arrive back in BC this afternoon where a transfer will be waiting to take you home.

Hotels:
Day 1-5 Gold Rush Inn, Whitehorse, YT
Early Booking: A $250 early booking discount is offered off the first 10 seats booked and $100 is offered off the next 10 until Aug 5, 2024.
Deposit and Payment: A $400 deposit per person is required at booking or booking may be cancelled. Full payment is required by Sep 3, 2024
Airfare: Airfare has been included at our preferred group rate. For airfare, space should be reserved by Aug 5, 2024. After that date airfare at this rate may be limited or tour price with air may be higher. Should you wish to book your own flights, price will be reduced by $300.
Price Changes: In the event of significant changes in taxes or surcharges by suppliers or local government Mile Zero Tours reserves the right to increase price up until final payment is made.
Cancellation Policy: Full refund less $50 per person admin fee if cancelled before August 5, 2024, from August 5-September 3, 2024 non-refundable amount increases to $150. After September 3, 2024 only 35% is refundable and after October 4, 2024 only 15% is refundable. There are no refunds offered after October 24, 2024. We strongly recommend purchasing trip cancellation insurance as Mile Zero Tours cannot issue refunds, no matter the reason, beyond the scope of the above-mentioned policy.
