Day 1— Thursday November 28, 2024 – Victoria to Vancouver
Depart Vancouver Island by ferry this afternoon. Once on the mainland a short drive brings us to the bright lights of cosmopolitan Vancouver. Here we get into the spirit with a visit to the enchanting outdoor Vancouver Christmas market. The German inspired market is full of colourful décor, authentic gifts, entertainment, delicious food and the spicy aroma of mulled wine. After shopping, we collect our goodies and head to our downtown hotel. This evening we sit down for a delicious welcome dinner. This is the perfect opportunity to get to know your Tour Director and fellow travelers. After dinner look forward to a restful sleep before our journey truly begins.

Day 2 – Friday November 29, 2024 – Vancouver to VIA Rail’s The Canadian
Begin your day with a short scenic drive around the city and Stanley Park. This afternoon we arrive at Pacific Central Station in anticipation of boarding our train. Once aboard the Canadian, settle in for a scenic ride. As the train rolls through the Fraser Valley and Canyon dinner will be served in the dining car. This evening, tuck yourself in to your cozy private sleeper class accommodations as the train continues its journey east and into the snowy mountains.

Day 3 – Saturday November 30, 2024 – Jasper
Wake up this morning to the gentle rumbling of the train engine and look out your window to a snowy landscape. A lovely hot breakfast will be served in the dining car as the train makes its way into the Rockies. Enjoy postcard images of mountains and snow-covered evergreens as we pass Pyramid Falls and Mount Robson, ultimately crossing the continental divide into Alberta. The train arrives in picturesque Jasper early this afternoon where we will be transferred to the stunning Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. Tonight, enjoy a delicious dinner at the beautiful resort.

Day 4 – Sunday December 1, 2024 – Jasper
This day is completely yours to spend as you wish. Perhaps you will treat yourself to pampering at the luxurious Jasper Lodge Spa. Or maybe you will go for a snowy stroll in the village and explore the many colourful boutiques. Stop by a local café and warm yourself with hot chocolate or tea. Or, take advantage of the many winter activities that Jasper has to offer including snowshoeing, skating and skiing.

Day 5 – Monday December 2, 2024 – Jasper
This morning get to know your surroundings better with an expert guided nature tour of the Jasper area. Jasper is brimming with wildlife all year round and winter is certainly no exception. Enjoy the pristine wilderness and calm of the winter snow as you learn about the local flora and fauna. A stop will be made in Jasper town with time for lunch before returning to the resort later this afternoon. Tonight enjoy an included dinner at one of Jasper’s most popular restaurants.

Day 6 – Tuesday December 3, 2024 – Jasper to Edmonton
This morning we depart Jasper by coach, heading east and leaving the mountains behind. We arrive in Edmonton early this afternoon where we will check in to our accommodations at the Fantasyland Hotel in West Edmonton Mall. Enjoy the comfort of this luxurious hotel and explore the largest shopping mall in North America. You may choose to visit the indoor water park, shop or just stroll through at your own pace. Tonight join your fellow travellers for a farewell dinner.

Day 7 – Wednesday December 4, 2024 – Edmonton to Victoria
After breakfast, transfer to the Edmonton airport to fly back home to Victoria with reflections of nature’s beautiful creations from landscape to wildlife.

Early Booking: A $250 early booking discount is offered off the first 10 seats booked and $100 is offered off the next 10 until Aug 26, 2024.
Deposit and Payment: A $400 deposit per person is required at booking or booking may be cancelled. Full payment is required by Sep 23, 2024
Airfare: Airfare has been included at our preferred group rate. For airfare, space should be reserved by Aug 26, 2024. After that date airfare at this rate may be limited or tour price with air may be higher. Should you wish to book your own flights, price will be reduced by $250.
Price Changes: In the event of significant changes in taxes or surcharges by suppliers or local government Mile Zero Tours reserves the right to increase price up until final payment is made.
Cancellation Policy: Full refund less $50 per person admin fee if cancelled before August 26, 2024, from August 26-September 23, 2024 non-refundable amount increases to $150. After September 23, 2024 only 35% is refundable and after October 29, 2024 only 15% is refundable. There are no refunds offered after November 14, 2024. We strongly recommend purchasing trip cancellation insurance as Mile Zero Tours cannot issue refunds, no matter the reason, beyond the scope of the above-mentioned policy.
